When I received the knife it felt and sounded like there was dirt/sand in the hinge so it was difficult to open and close. I considered returning it but decided instead to take it apart, clean it out and re-oil it. After the cleaning it worked significantly better. I have noticed that the locking mechanism isn't as secure as I would have hoped. When pressure is applied the blade tends to flex towards closing so be wary if using in any direction other than away from you.

This is one great knife! There is some weight to it so it is not a pocket-type knife. It does have a sturdy belt clip however. The knife is beautifully designed and the wood inlay is high quality and attractive to the eye. The blade and the stainless frame work are exceptional. Though made in china,it is of the highest workmanship and I would highly recommend!

This was a present for my wife to use in the field (she is a wildlife biologist). It is very sharp and is easily opened with one hand. She will keep this for years to come as it looks and works very well.

They were nice knives, with a sharp appearance. However, there were minor defects in the wood. However, given the price, they were well worth it.
